A Year of Decluttering, Organizing, and Renovating in Halifax

I’m not usually one to look back and focus on the past. However, at the end of each calendar year, it is always a good exercise to acknowledge and appreciate everything that happened, good or bad. After all, reflection is the magic of a life well-lived. One of the lessons I learned after over two decades of decluttering, organizing, and renovating homes is that everyone wants to live their best life. We (my team and I) are grateful that we have had the opportunity to help our clients embrace the freedom of living with less and the joy of an organized and beautifully decorated home. Thank you so much!

Decorating, Decluttering, Organizing, and Renovating

Over the past year, I collaborated with a team of amazing people, turning clients’ homes into havens throughout Halifax. Our design projects included everything from complete kitchen renovations to main floor makeovers with new furniture, drapery, lighting, and paint colours. We accomplished a few kitchen “refresh” projects, a couple of powder room makeovers, and several closet and storage design projects. Additionally, we helped a lovely couple move into a new home with full unpacking, setup, and decorating services. During all that, we organized dozens of homes for new customers and established clientele.

Reflection and Gratitude

As we approach a new year, I encourage you to reflect on the previous one. We cannot undo the past, but we can forgive ourselves for our missteps and make changes. It’s the same when we declutter. Perhaps we purchased or are holding onto something we don’t need. We might feel guilty or sad when we let it go, but learning from our previous experiences can be transformational.

I believe feeling happy and fulfilled comes from within us. It is not something we buy at the store. It can be as simple as deciding we want to feel good. We can put a smile on our faces and head out into the world, holding onto that positivity. I guarantee that maintaining a positive attitude will affect those around you – even without saying or doing anything else. Plan to make a few small changes over the coming months and see where that takes you.
